Christmas is here!

What a wonderful Christmas!! David and I were able to spend time with both sides of the family for Christmas! On Christmas eve we traveled to my parents house in Daytona. Staci and I made chocolate chip cookies to give to all of the neighbors. They were delicious, fortunaley we made enough so we could taste them along the way! We all even went to midnight mass! Christmas morning we all realized that Santa Claus was very generous! Much to our surprise no one recieved any coal! :-) David made the most delectable Christmas dinner, complete with a honey ham, and casseroles! Definaltley a new Christmas tradition! Then we traveled to Ocala to spend the rest of the holidays with David's family. Once again David made a great meal consisting of crab legs and shrimp. Wow! That was so good. I am glad that the holidays are comming to end because I am not sure I could handle anymore great meals- my arteries are already hurting! :-)

My Life- The Bahamas

David and I were blessed to have a weekend cruise to Grand Bahama Island in November. The beaches were so peaceful, with their powder sugar sand, hot sun, and crystal clear teal water with soft gentle waves. The sun was nice and warm, but the water was frigid! Somehow David managed to get me into the sub zero water, but after the inital shock of hypothermia I warmed up. The water is much nicer when you are dry. All in all we couldn't stay away from the beach. We were only there for one day, but we enjoyed every minute of soaking up the sun, we even saw a wedding on the beach! David and I even thought about renting a scooter to become truley adventurous tourists, but soon realized that idea would be a accident waiting to happen, since in the Bahamas they drive on the wrong side of the road! We had a great time, but also learned a valuable lesson- do not go on a cruise when you are pregnant! haha!

My Life- Davids 30th Birthday

My Birthday Prince!

September 25th was a milestone for David- his 30th Birthday!!!! He is my Birthday Prince! I tried to make him feel special on his day since it was such a BIG bithday for him! I even decorated his truck with 30 balloons! I am not too sure if Sophie liked the balloons too much,, she kept running from them! My cousin Eric, his girlfriend Melissa, and I took David to "El Novillo" a local nicquarian resturant in Miami. The food was awesome! Much to my suprise 30 candles on a birthday cake, will not catch fire and burn down the apartment complex! David put out the flames just in time! Hey, the cake even tasted good, not too much wax was ingested!;-)

My Travels- Plantation, FL

Look! You can see the clouds and sun- CLEAR skys! NO o-zone warnings, haze, just clear skys! David and I just made it to our next assignment in Plantation, FL. I love that the beach is only 15 min. away! It was well worth the 12 1/2 hour drive on 3 hours of sleep! We hit the beach first, it started to rain, but that was also welcomed since we haven't seen rain for 3 months! If you look closley at the last pic, the is a man standing on a surf board- he was actually paddling around the water on the surfboard! Looks like fun huh?! I can't wait to start scuba diving in this clear water!

My Life- NC Family time

Our FAVORITE part of North Carolina was our family. Spending time with them was the highlight of our stay in North Carolina. David and I enjoyed every moment that we spent with Matthew, Emily, Adam, and Aunt Lynn. I think Davids favorite was cooking his meals for them- he thought of it as a new audience to share his food with (audience or guinea pigs they can decide!) Our "last supper" was at Maggiano's. The food was great- it was awesome to eat family style with everyone (amazing that everyone decided on the same thing!) The best was the cheesecake, we even brought home an extra piece- Look Emily, Matt skills are so great - he doesn't even need a fork! :-) We will definatley miss them, but this is not goodbye. I know that we will all be together again soon!

My Travels- Duke Health Raleigh, North Carolina

Jess
Sahily
Miss Shirley

The people at Duke Health Raleigh made my travel assignment worth while! It is a great team that works there, who is always there to lend a helping hand. I have met such great people, that I will not soon forget! Besides who would forget getting beaten by a wig in the lab- that was a first even for me. I will always give a second thought to the statement "Beware of the HAIR!" I have made true friends at this assignment, I am so blessed to have crossed paths with them!

My Life - Scrapping with Sahily

Finally Sahily and I were able to get together and do what we love the most- SCRAPBOOK!!! I showed her how to make my "dorky" planner, that everyone seemed to like. We had a great time, who knew that you can make a great planner from paper bags from the liquor store!

My Life- Aunt Lynn's Birthday

Today was my Aunt Lynn's "21st" Birthday! I wanted to make this day special for her, and let her know how loved she is. She is such a wonderful person, who has inspired me to do great things.
We went to Vivace in North Hills, Raleigh. The food there was very good- we all got scallops and risoto- DELICOUS! I think that we all had a great time....
I am finally ready to start scrapping again, I think that my "scrappers block" is over all thanks to this birthday card!
