Our 1st Disney Vacation!

Hollywood Studios Feb 23 2011
We did it! We made it to Disney on our first family vacation! Owen was very very excited! First on the ride to Orlando we watched "Cars" in the car with a Lightning MacQueen car hat on! We are truely in the spirit of everything Disney. When we get to our first destination of Hollywood studios we are all in high hopes for an amazing time AND of course to meet the mouse himself- MICKEY MOUSE! We are equipped with the first time at Disney button, and our Mickey hat. Which we wore everyday religiously throughout the entire vacation. Owen HAD to wear it. Ian, of course ripped off the button the first chance he could get to it! Owen wasn't too sure of the green army men from Toy Story walking around, but he did get a kick out of Handy Manny. The boys really enjoyed the giant set of "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" It was the best playground EVER! Ian was soaked from head to toe after he was finished playing in the waterfall. Owen even touched a giant ant with 1 finger! Of course after a hard day of play we HAD to end it with a Mickey mouse ice cream! Can't wait for tommorrow!

Magic Kingdom Feb 24

Disney is truely a magical place! To have the oppornunity to watch and experince Disney through our childrens' eyes was amazing. To see their faces light up when we walked onto main street and Cindrella's castle is straight ahead. They knew it was going to be an spectaular day. And that it was! I never knew how much fun "It's a small world" could be, until Owen and I rode it for Owen's first ever ride! He was awestruck! Ian, of course was taking a snooze in the carriage, but that's ok! :) Then we proceded to ride similar rides like the carosel,Peter Pan, Snow White, Pirates of the Carribean (Owen HAD to see Pirates!). Later tht day, after a nap and dinner of course, we came back to see the Electrical parade and the fireworks. Like I said earlier Disney is a magicial place. Ian took his FIRST steps! He was tring to get Owen's new Mickey Mouse spinning toy while we were waiting for the parade to start. I guess he wanted it badly. So as a reward for the 3 big steps he took to tackle his brother we bought him one too. The firework display was everything I remembered. It brought me back to my childhood when I saw the same firework show. To end the perfect night we spoiled our boys to cookies, and espresso for David and I to finish off the sugar induced coma haha! What an amazing day! Such a great and awesome experience. We are truely blessed to have had the chance to have this day.

Cape May Cafe Feb 25

Ah, what a great way to start the morning, breakfast with the characters! Owen was SO excited to see the characters up close this morning! I'll tell you what he, is a Mickey clubhouse expert- the frst thing Owen noticed was that Goofy wasn't wearing his hat! Owen was very concerned! haha!! Ian didn't know what to do with all the characters roaming around! I think they handled it pretty well. And as an extra perk breakfast was amazing! Now Animal Kingdom here we come!

Animal Kingdom Feb 25th

We were on a hunt for Mickey when we went to Animal Kingdom. Mickey evaded us at the last 2 parks, but we finally caught up to him! Owen was SO excited to finally meet him, that he didn't want to leave! But we were able to see LOTS of characters today! Poor Ian slept through them all, but he did wake up for the animal safari. What a great day! Both boys loved the animals and train ride. All I have to say is thank goodness for camp Minnie and Mickey!

Bath Time

Oh bath time, it's our favorite time. The boys will stay in there until they are absolute prunes! What fun it is, splashing around singing songs, squirting each other with toys. Fun stuff. And an added plus is that they are in one small space for it seems like hours! Yay! I do enjoy bath time with them. Owen now can sing the entire alphabet (which he demonstrates numerous times while in the tub), count to 16, and can sing pretty much every song I know, with his own added improves. My favorite is when he sings Jesus loves me, he subsitutes "They are weak, but he is strong" to " They are weak, but OWEN is strong" haha!. Ian loves to hear the singing, he doesn't participate, but I think he is learning how to form the words becuase he watches with such intent. Whatever he is doing, his face lights up when we all sing. I will always cherish these pruny times.

January- just playin' in the sand...

So we go to the park, and this is ALL that we do. Dig, eat, and play in the sand. My two little sand monsters.

January- Jaidyn turns 3!

I can hardly believe it but Jaidyn is 3! It was the cutest Dora themed party! Everyone had such a great time with the bubble machine, balloons, bounce house, pizza, cake. What more can a kid ask for! I feel so blessed to be able to send this day with the Corrales family!
