Easter 2011

This was such a fantastic Easter this year! First both Owen and Ian were such well behaved little boys in church. Owen even said peace to the ENTIRE back half of church. He didn't want to leave anyone out! I even got to have a nice family picture with everyone dressed up! Yay! Then since they were such great boys they received their Easter basket that the Easter bunny left. Ian thought the packaging was the best part. Owen was so happy to have his family over. He said, "See Mama, I TOLD you that my family was coming over!" Haha, he is too funny. He loved playing with his new cars on the floor with Nona. As soon as Grandaddy, Uncle Tommy, and Aunt Staci arrived he confiscated them to push him on the tire swing AND blow bubbles at the SAME time! The Spellman family with their newest edition, and the Benner family also came. We all had such a great time. The food was amazing! We feasted on Turkey (I think one of David's best) green bean casserole with stuffing on top (Ian's favorite of the day) Pears and cheese, the best rooster gravy ever, Nona's handmade spinach ravioli, Rayna's world famous corn casserole and mashed potatoes, and Franchescia's delicious sweet potato pie. Yummy! Then it was time for the great Easter Egg hunt! With the help of Staci, I do believe that Ian found the most eggs. Don't worry he had to share his goods with his Aunt Staci for all her hard work! haha! It was such a beautiful afternoon. After the hunt was over, Ian rested on Granddaddy and the rest of the kiddos were off to play in the sand box (which a few surprises in it from Aunt Rayna and Uncle Micheal. :) Truly a great Easter Sunday...

Ian's 1st haircut April 16, 2011

Ian patiently waited for his turn at Stuarts barber shop while his big brother sat and showed Ian how big boys get their haircut. Owen was all smiles. (His favorite part is the lollipop at the end.) Now it was Ian's turn for a long overdue haircut. He sat in Stuart's chair with Babo at his side. At first he did realize what was going on, but then the tears came flowing down. Not because his beautiful curls were being clipped off (of course not!), but because he couldn't move! It took all of David's strength to try and keep him still for the Barber. All Stuart could say was " Boy, he sure is a strong one" haha! But after all the tears he now looks like a sweet little boy with a fantastic haircut! (he even still has a few curls! :-)

Wilderness explorers

Just like Dora and Diego we were wilderness explorers at Silver River State Park on playdate in April. Owen was our guide telling us which direction we should go with his handy dandy map! Brea pointed out all of the butterflies and I think she might have picked allthe flowers on the way for her Mom! haha! And at the envy of both Brea and Owen, Ian enjoyed the ride in the stroller- at least for a little while! Everyone had a great time. The fish even "kissed their feet" as Owen would say. What great little explorers!

Owen's 1st Boat ride

Owen LOVES the boat! On Saturday March 26 my Dad, Tommy, Staci (and her best friend Stacey) took Owen, David and I out in the boat on the St. Johns river. Ian stayed with Grandma while we went out on our excersion. He is definatley momma's boy, because just like me Owen loves to jump waves and go fast! haha! Dad took us to Silver Glen, where Owen tried to catch fish with a net. We all enjoyed looking at all the boats. It was such a nice day! I am so glad that Owen liked it so much! He even got to drive the boat out of the glen with Granddaddy! What an awesome day!

Baby Will March 21, 2011

Sweet baby William Christen Spellman arrived on March 21, 2011 to the proud parents of Rayna and Micheal Spellman. He is an absolute angel, and I am so glad that we have this little blessing in our family! It was fun taking pictures of him- he was much easier to take pictures of, than my two angels (because he stays where you put him! haha!) I was very happy to have the oppurtunity to photograph him. Such a joy.
